I am fighting for Otago Community Hospice. Please donate if you can, to a great cause!
Otago
I am taking part in this years punch for purpose 6. I am currently in fight camp and will fight on May the 2nd at the town hall.
I am raising funds for the Otago Community Hospice. An amazing organisation who serves those most in need, in our community and throughout Otago. I have seen and heard first hand the outstanding work they do with those experiencing the hardest times of their lives the care they gave my grandma for a short time, the care I am sure they have provided for so many of our loved ones!
A bit of information from their website and what the money raised will be going towards.
Otago Community Hospice needs your help. We have to raise $5 million every year to continue providing the quality free palliative service to those facing the end of their lives.
Please think of us when deciding where your charitable dollar will go this year; no amount is too small or large!
Your donation is guaranteed to go directly to the costs associated with specialist palliative care in Otago, for example:
A session at our Kōwhai Programme = $70
A weekly counselling session for a family member = $125
A home visit from our Community Care Co-ordinators = $140
A specialist doctors visit in the community = $300
A night nurse sitting with a patient overnight for a week = $950
A visit to our Inpatient Unit for a week = $3500
Any donation is sure to make a difference!!
