Punch for Purpose 7 Fighting for Her

This year I am stepping back into the ring for my second Punch for Purpose charity boxing match but this time I have a very special reason behind every punch, every training session and every drop of sweat.

I’m doing this event for Kerri who is the sister one of my longest and closest friends, Matt Richardson.

This family holds a very special place in my heart.

Kerri is currently battling cancer and she has asked that all funds raised go towards Ovarian Cancer New Zealand.

I am now 7 weeks into the 10 week boot camp and believe me it has been a grinnnnd

At 42 years old there have been plenty of times my body has told me to slow down but I keep turning up and pushing through!

Every time it gets hard I think about why I’m doing this...

I’m fighting for her.

I want Kerri to know that she isn't fighting alone. I want to show her that people care that her family and friends are standing beside her and that we are all in her corner.

For me, stepping into that ring is a way of showing her that fight doesn't stop when things get hard 🙏

Keep fighting.... Keep your head up....Keep pushing forward. Most importantly don't forget to smile! ❤️
