Help members of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology who are running the Queenstown Marathon and raise funds for two amazing charities!
Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust, co-founded by a former member of the department, Corinda Taylor, that has one simple aim: to reduce suicide in Aotearoa. They provide amazing services within Dunedin and across the county supporting people at risk of suicide and their whanau, providing community education, increasing community awareness, providing bereavement support, reducing stigma, and local and national advocacy.

Gut Cancer Foundation was founded in 2008, they have made it their mission to improve the lives of New Zealanders affected by gut cancers. Every year over 6000 Kiwis are diagnosed with a cancer of the digestive system, on average that's 17 Kiwis per day. The Gut Cancer Foundation aims to improve outcomes by leading research and innovation, and raising awareness and providing education around stomach cancers.
