Raise funds for Māori Cancer Research and Leadership

My tuakana, elder sister has recently began chemotherapy for her breast cancer diagnosis. Going through this during Lockdown level 4 in AKLD sux, so we wanted to show our support from afar. One part of this was shaving our hair, another is raising funds and awareness. We lost our uncle earlier this year to cancer and previously another of my uncle's has come out the other side through treatment. Research shows Māori and non-Māori have different statistics when it come to cancer. Do we really know why???

We would like to raise funds to support research on better outcomes for Māori.

Māori need more research and leaders in this area, to increase our rates of awareness, testing, and survival.

Hei Ahuru Mōwai focus on system level advocacy, collaborating with Māori leaders across the health continuum and influencing research to reduce Māori cancer inequities.
