Jon asks
Ata mārie Janine –
I just thought I’d reach out and thank you for setting up the Givealittle page to help raise funds for Land Search & Rescue in tribute to your friend Emma Langley.
I am very aware of the call-out which involved members from one of our ACR (Alpine Cliff Rescue) teams, Ruapehu Alpine Rescue Organisation (RARO). On behalf of all of us at Land Search and Rescue, I would like to extend our deepest condolences for your loss and extend our gratitude for what you’re doing and your fundraising efforts.
I am happy to help in whatever way we can and one thought is for us to share your fundraising page and your story on our national social media and let people know why you’re running the Queenstown marathon. As another suggestion, you could ask New Zealand Alpine Club and New Zealand Alpine Club- Wellington Section to share to their pages too and contact and ask the media to share your story too. I have a number of media contacts who might like to share your story, Seven Sharp and other national television shows could be worth trying. I’ll leave that with you and do let me know if I can help. It’s a very tragic story and what you’re doing is amazing, out of bad comes something good which will help save lives and bring people home to their loved ones.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Ngā mihi

Hi Jon,
Thank you so much for your message and condolences. I'd be very happy for you to share this fundrasing page on your social media pages and with any other organisation you think would be interested. I'm also happy for you to share this with the media, but I'm not interested on talking to them myself.
Many thanks,
Janine
