One week later...
30 November 2020It's been over a week now since we ran the Queenstown half marathon. It was a very emotional run, mostly because Emma was a constant in my thoughts but also because it was my 10th and in all likelihood my last, and I wasn't sure I was even going to be able to finish it the week before.
But on the day, the weather turned itself around, my running was good until 7km and then I fast walked the rest, finishing at 3hr 15mins. I managed to run the last 300m, sobbing as I crossed the line! As I say, it was emotional. But it was the most beautiful half marathon course and I would recommend to everyone.
So thank you all so much for supporting me and therefore guilting me into running the half ;-)

Well done Janine!
Thank you very very much for running in honour and memory of Emma and raising money for NZ LandSAR. Love from Hazel (Emma's mum)
