Raising money for shorebirds

Hi all,

Many of you know me are aware I like birds and I'm doing a little event with a few friends across the country to spot more bird species in Auckland than they do in other regions within the country.

As part of this challenge I will also be recording numbers of birds seen to help support an NZ bird atlasing scheme which is trying to map the abundance and diversity of bird species across the country.

I will be focusing my efforts in Auckland while also trying to find as as many birds in 24 hours in the region. currently the Auckland record stands at 67 according to all the records I can find but we are aiming for 80+.

You can help motivate me by donating to the cause as i'm aiming to raise money for NZ shorebirds like the Fairy tern which is a bird that needs a lot of hep and support to avoid extinction in NZ. So please can you send a small donation to help these birds out.

This will happen rain or shine on November 14th! Although I'm very much hoping the weather is good for this.
