Relocated swimathon!
After the cancellation of the swimathon at Mairangi for Starship Children's Hospital, I'll be doing my own version at Oriental Bay!

After having such a good time at the 2020 Swimathon for Starship at Mairangi Bay, I was very eager to repeat the experience in 2021. Unfortunately, COVID means that there can't be an official event this year - it has just been cancelled. However, I'm going to do my own version locally at Oriental Bay. My aim is 15x1500m laps, a total of 21-22km. At the moment, we're all very well aware of the pressure hospitals are under, and Starship is no exception. So, if you have a few dollars to spare, please consider a small donation in aid of Starship Children's Hospital. If you're free on 27 November, pop down to Freyberg Beach to see how the swimming's going.
Plan for the day:
I'll be starting at 7.30am. I'll do two laps followed by a quick refuelling stop, and repeat, and repeat etc ... trying to get it done as quickly as possible.
