It’s been a few weeks since I finished riding TA 3000kms and that still hasn’t really sunk in that I actually completed it.
Wow! What a Journey with many highs and some lows.
I’m a ride to the dairy for an ice cream kind of girl, not competitive or athletic at all, so this was huge for me.
I rode with a reason to raise money for 2 charities close to my heart.
I needed a sense of purpose and to build some self-esteem, this seemed like a good idea ???
The low days were hard physically and mentally, half the battle is in your mind, you just have to push yourself to keep going and your legs will just keep spinning.
Comradeship from the other riders and crew helps immensely without them I would never have completed this.
When u reach the top of an Elevation after grinding out a hill or see an amazing view the feeling is just Immense, it often brought tears or much laughter and a great sense of achievement for me.
There are no words to really Describe how beautiful NZ is.
It's beautiful beyond belief from massive trees, beaches, farmland Mountains waterfalls & lakes.Just amazing nature all around you morning bird song sunrises and sunsets calm the mind and bring you back to what’s most important.
To Stop look and smell is just epic one day at a time with nothing else to do, just ride eat and sleep & enjoy what this amazing ride had to offer me
Raising over $18 thousand dollars was the icing on the cake for me, it’s brought me much joy knowing that It may help somebody in the future, it’s build my confidence and I will never be the same person I was before this ride.
Thanks to the many people who supported me before and during the ride, my family friends and people I had never meet before from donations to Products your all amazing❤️ I could never have done it without you all, every single one of you are just bloody awesome human beings! just 6 days left with the givealittle page closing soon, this will be my last push, so if you could please share this page one more time it would be much appreciated, once again thank you all so so much.
PS my bottom has healed and I’m Currently on a five day 300km ride in the South Island 🤣😱
