We're taking part in the Lake Taupo Challenge!

I am cycling with Nikki in memory of my late husband Bruce Wilson (and Nikki's much loved cousin), to raise funds for Melanoma New Zealand.

Bruce had a shallow melanoma removed from his shoulder - no apparent issues. Three years later lived he struggled with headaches for three weeks. We ended up in A&E, and found the melanoma had metastasised resulting in seven brain tumours. Bruce died less than a year later - an absolute tragedy - a wonderful, kind, outdoorsy man. He would be really chuffed to know that I've started cycling - proud too that we're doing this together!

Melanoma NZ were a great source of information and support at that time, helping us understand Stage 4 melanoma, the different treatment options, clinical trials and providing additional resources. Melanoma NZ receive no government funding so that's where we come in - fundraising to make sure Melanoma NZ are around to support other families too.

Please donate whatever you can afford - we appreciate every dollar.
