Team Roger - Jetski NZ Melanoma Fundraiser 2018

$70 donated
Given by 2 generous donors in 9 weeks

I am fundraising for Melanoma New Zealand. Please help me raise funds to support this great cause for kiwis.

Nationwide

This is my second event supporting the Melanoma New Zealand foundation. I feel this charity is so important to support as Melanoma NZ is not government funded and relies 100% on donations. NZ has the highest rate of melanoma in the world, a deadly disease that takes more kiwis lives than our road toll.

To raise funds I will be participating in the 2018 open water Endurance Jet Ski Challenge during Feb/March. I will be traveling from Akaroa to Wellington over 6 days and 700kms via Jet Ski. All costs associated with the ride I am funding myself and all donations will go directly to the charity, being Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand.

As kiwis we have such a harsh environment with incredibly high rates of skin cancer in NZ. Melanoma is the most serious type of skin cancer you can get, it can progress quickly and can be life-threatening. The aim is to raise awareness for this serious condition that effects many Kiwis.

Funds raised will go towards helping prevent avoidable deaths from melanoma and give support for New Zealanders affected. Show your support as every dollar counts, $5, $10, $20, $50 etc.

Thank you for your support,

Roger Handley

Melanoma Ski-nZ 2018 Event Cancelled  1 February 2018

Posted by: Melanoma New Zealand

It is with deep regret that Melanoma New Zealand is announcing the cancellation of this year’s Ski-NZ Event which was to happen from the 24th February – 3rd March 2018.

After undertaking a review of our obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act (HSWA) the Board of Melanoma New Zealand determined that the organisation is not in a position to organise the event this year if it was to meet all of its obligations under the Act. All registered riders and sponsors will be receiving a 100% refund for any money paid to Melanoma New Zealand. We are extremely grateful for the tremendous support we have received over the last 5 years and apologise for any inconvenience caused, but we are convinced that this is the prudent decision and in the best interests of all parties involved.

If you have any questions regarding this cancellation notice, please email Mel on admin@melanoma.org.nz
