I am running a half marathon to fundraise for youth mental health helpline 0800 What's Up, to make a difference in the lives of young Kiwis.
Hawke's Bay
Through 2019 and 2020, I (quite literally) ran a fundraiser where I did a bunch of running and encouraged many people to donate. Together we raised almost $2000 for the Hawke's Bay Cancer Society.
In 2024, New Zealand has some of the worst mental health statistics globally, especially in our youth. Charities such as Barnardos and their What's Up helpline are doing their absolute best to make a difference in the lives of young New Zealanders, and it is absolutely vital that we support them. Since 2021, 0800 What's Up counsellors have taken over 1.6 million phone calls and responded to over 29,000 webchats.
On the 7th of September 2024, I will be running 21km at the John West Kinloch Offroad Challenge. I am taking on such a challenge with the hopes of encouraging people to donate so we can try and raise $2,500 to support the mental health of young New Zealanders.
I encourage everyone reading this to donate whatever they can, to help support such a worthy cause. And to please spread and share this page, so it can find as many people as possible, so we together can make a real difference in the lives of New Zealand's youth.

As of yesterday, the period for fundraising has officially ended. Thank you all so much for the incredible support and I am stoked to have smashed our goal. If you are still wishing to donate, visit the attached link to the Barnardos website and do so there. Thanks a million, all the best.
