Running the length of Aotearoa, NZ to raise money for charitable organisations supporting the Mental Health of all Kiwis.

Manawatu / Whanganui

Hi, thanks for being here! My name is Emily and my goal is to normalise conversations about mental health and raise money for mental health support in NZ!

I plan to run the entire length of New Zealand on the Te Araroa Trail in less than 54 days (that's an average of over 55km every day) in January/Feburary 2027. I plan to run south to north and will be supported by a crew throughout. My planning and training will be documented through Instagram, @run.aotearoa

Run Aotearoa for Mental Health is about naming what so many New Zealanders feel but don't say - because silence is often the most dangerous part of the struggle. There are far too many New Zealanders suffering in silence. I hope to not only raise funds, but spark real honest conversation.

Any support that you can offer to this mission, whether it's a donation or just engaging with this page or the journey on Instagram, would be greatly appreciated!

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
