Please help me raise funds to support the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust to continue to serve LGBTIQ+ communities in New Zealand.

I am running the 102km Tarawera Ultramarathon to raise funds for the Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust. The Trust has a long history (since 1984!) of funding and supporting Rainbow communities throughout New Zealand.

This will be my first attempt in running this far and plan to run self-supported (no support crew). I will probably cry a few times in the forest. Your donations will mean the world to me, and I would be thrilled to know that together we are helping this incredible organisation to continue to serve LGBTIQ+ communities in New Zealand.

A huge thanks to ALL OF YOU! I may not have had support crew on site, but I had all of you, my emotional support crew of 57! We have smashed through the fundraising goal and raised a whopping $4,050 to support Rainbow communities.

After a very good ~60km run, I hit a very hard wall and started slowing down heaps but hobbled on to finish in under 20 hours. I came through at 19 hours and 13 minutes in the end, around 2am and several blisters richer than when I began.

I am so very grateful to the words of encouragement and amazing support from everyone. Thank you for helping to make a difference to Rainbow communities throughout NZ.
