Running 21km dressed as a vegetable... to fight food waste!

I'm joining the war on food waste by running 21km dressed as a vegetable! All funds raised support Kaibosh Food Rescue!

Wellington

If food waste were its own country, it would be the world’s third-largest greenhouse gas emitter – surpassed only by China and the United States.

Even if just one-fourth of the food currently lost or wasted globally could be saved, it would be enough to feed 870 million hungry people in the world.

Kaibosh Food Rescue is the link between the food industry and people in need around Wellington!

Working with a team of 200+ volunteers, Kaibosh rescues and sorts food 7 days a week. They deliver up to 25,000kg of quality surplus food each month to community groups that support people in need. This is the equivalent of 71,000 meals provided to those who need it most, as well as a 19,400kg reduction in carbon emissions.

I'm running 21km at Round the Bays dressed as a vegetable (what type? who knows??) to raise $$ towards the amazing mahi Kaibosh does at no cost to the community!

We're aiming break the Guinness World Record for the most people running dressed as fruits and vegetables!
