Sophie is running the Rotorua half marathon in May to fundraise for the cancer society!

Hey I am Sophie, I am 17 and have entered in the Rotorua half marathon in May and am aiming to raise a total of $500 to go towards the cancer society!

This is a very special charity to me as my Nana, Barbara, went through a mastectomy, radiation therapy along with chemotherapy in 2021, due to breast cancer. Cancer society was able to support her through her experience as well as our family, and we are lucky enough to have her with us today.

Another close friend of ours, Brenda Hyde is currently going through chemotherapy and has had other treatments for at least four years now.
