Overweight, middle aged and out of shape running to raise money for our Mental Health

Wellington

So, it all began in 2018 when I ran the Singapore Army Half Marathon around Marina Bay at 0430 - my first ever half marathon in high 30sC heat and humidity…

Then when moved to Wellington and just before Covid in 2020, ran round the bays. Both times figuring, if I’m going to punish myself, others should benefit.

So here I am four years later, in my 40s, middle aged, overweight and out of shape. Back in the Wellington region so why not do it again, and raise money for the best cause - Mental Health!

My friends, family and shipmates have at some point suffered from this black dog, and I’m sure I do as well - anyone that says they don’t probably isn’t self aware…

So would appreciate any donation to help those who need help in the illness that people still don’t really like to talk about…

If only to see this whale of a human get his fat but around a windy course!!! 🤣🤣🏃🏻‍♂️👍❤️

Run baby run ... and I'll try and keep the cake and lolly treats to a minimum 😉 ... unless it helps with extra motivation and then I'll double your rations 🤣
