Fundraising for Greenhithe Riding For The Disabled Association Incorporated by participating in the Auckland Marathon Event 2026.
Greenhithe, Auckland
**About Our Cause **
Greenhithe Riding For the Disabled (GRDA) helps people living with disabilities to improve their wellbeing through the power of horses.
For many riders, their weekly goal-oriented sessions are genuinely life changing both mentally and physically. They also create a sense of joy and belonging in a challenging world.
As volunteers, we see firsthand every week the improved communication skills, strength and confidence brought by these sessions to the riders. This is why this cause means so much to us.
GRDA is a small group with just six wonderful horses. This means that each horse is a vital partner in supporting the riders every week. A significant amount of money is invested into the horses’ wellbeing to ensure they remain happy, healthy, and able to continue their amazing work.
GRDA does not receive any government funding, therefore it relies heavily on community donations and grants to keep rider contributions affordable for families.
**About Us**
We are seven enthusiastic women (Kayren, Julie, Carole, Fleur, Sandra, Kirsty and Anna) who are part of the volunteer team at Greenhithe Riding for the Disabled Association.
On 1 November 2026, we’ll be taking part in the Auckland Marathon event to raise funds for horse healthcare at GRDA.
Please support our challenge by sponsoring us and helping Greenhithe Riding for the Disabled continue its amazing work in the community.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a difference.
