Running for something good,
Christchurch, Canterbury
My brother Scott was diagnosed with cancer in May 2020 just after the lockdown, he was only given a couple of weeks. During Scott’s treatment he asked me to attend a fundraising run that his doctor was organizing, unfortunately due to COVID it was canceled and I never got to do it. He found the Blair Vining’s epic journey as they both had similar situations. Blair established the Southland Charity Hospital that is funded by the community for the community. Scott unfortunately lost his battle in May 2022. I am doing the backyard ultra in Christchurch on the 1st July it is 6.7km race every hour on the hour until you can not do any more. I thought I would dedicate this run for my brother, and raise some money for a good charity. I’m going to donate $10 for every lap that I achieve, feel free to match or even raise my donation. The more money that is raised will give me even more incentive to keep pushing myself to the limit.
