To raise money for Massage after Pregnancy Loss to support Mother's who have lost a pragnancy.
Bay of Plenty
In 2020 my partner and I decided to embark on the journey of adding another wee family member to our current family of us and our 2 boys. This would be our first child together and complete our blended family.
I fell pregnant fast but lost the first angel to miscarriage. Heartbroken we decided to try again and I fell pregnant again the next month. This little angel had decided to make my fallopian tube their home, which resulted in an ectopic pregnancy and I had surgery to remove my right fallopian tube. After recovering from this surgery, I again fell pregnant easily but again another ectopic pregnancy which resulted in much more serious surgery and part of my uterus being removed. This surgery took a long time to recover from and I was unable to be phsyically active most of 2020.
To get myself back on track with physical activity and help with my mental wellbeing I have decided to challenge myself to complete a goal I have had for a few years now - a full marathon. So this year I am aiming to run 5 half marathon events and finish off with the full marathon in Queenstown in November. My motivation is my angel babies and that is why I have created this page to ask for sponsorship to complete this challenge and support Mother's who have also experienced this grief and pain.
I came across a service here in Tauranga that provides pampering for pregnancy loss and would love to be supported by people donating to this amazing cause where Mother's are supported and pampered after the traumatic experience of loosing a pregnancy at any stage. Please donate any amount that you can and support me on this journey of running and my own fertility.
To challenge myself to run 5 half marathons and 1 full marathon in 2021 with support and motivation of donations to pamper Mother's after pregnancy loss.
Still Running 12 January 2022
Hi everyone, thank you so much for all of your wonderful donations so far. Unfortunately the Queenstown Marathon was postponed in November, however it is looking positive for March 19th. My running has been slow, due to another pregnancy loss which required two surgeries in December but I will keep you updated as the event gets closer.
