Raising funds for West Auckland Riding for the Disabled a charity which helps children with disabilities

Auckland

Hey friends! Juan and I are running in the Xterra trail run series starting in 2 weeks to fundraise for West Auckland Riding for the Disabled which I volunteer at. They run therapy programmes for children with special needs and really want to build a covered arena so that they can run their programmes over winter (at the moment they don’t run in term 3 at all because the weather is too bad). It’s a really great organisation that helps a lot of kids. I will be running in the middle-long distance races (11-20km) and Juan will be running in the super longs (20-28km) off-road races. If you would be willing to sponsor us even a couple of dollars that would be awesome! Let me know if you can and thanks for taking the time to read this. Cheers Debbie.

Myself (and my horse!) are volunteers at this organization on a weekly basis. I love working with the kids and horses in this programme and have seen some of the amazing benefits riding has for children with disabilities. I would love to help the RDA raise funds to build a covered arena so that they can run their programme over the wet-weather winter terms as currently they cannot run in term 3 at all.
