Running the Christchurch Marathon for Engineers Without Boarder - Matt French

Canterbury

I'm an 18yo student of the University of Canterbury and aspiring scientist. Throughout my time at college and university I have had the ability to learn enough science and mathematics to keep my heart content. I believe funding is instrumental to the establishments that I have studied in, without it good teachers, labs and other facilities would become non-existent. It follows that students aspiring to be scientists and engineers wouldn't have the education in order to move into these fields. A lack of scientist and engineers leads to a lack basic human needs such as clean water, sanitation and hygiene, energy, basic infrastructure, important technologies, medicines and teachers to pass on the knowledge. It is part of EWB mission to educate and train students, engineers and the wider community on issues including sustainable development, appropriate technology, poverty and the power of humanitarian engineering. This year I will be running the Christchurch marathon to get behind EWB's mission.

Please help me by giving whatever you can to this cause. Thank you for taking the time to read and please spread the word by sharing this page. In advance: Thank-you for your generosity :)
