At 32 years young and with terminal cancer, Emily needs more time with Chris, and their two young girls Ada and Mabel.
Marlborough
Emily has been living with breast cancer for nearly three years - and has faced the daily challenges and struggles that her cancer and the drugs have thrown at her with an absolutely amazing attitude and determination. She was diagnosed when she was 30 and started on chemotherapy when her youngest daughter was just 4 weeks old. On diagnosis it had spread to her pelvis and since then, her brain. Her full story can be found at https://givealittle.co.nz/cause/a-life-worth-living.
Rhett (61) is off to run the 32km Routeburn Track at the end of April as part of the Routeburn Classic to raise funds for Emily. While his run will be a challenge, it pales by comparison with Emily's.
Funds raised from this run will help Emily with her treatments (currently $250 per day) and give her more time with her family.
Emily is our niece, and she and her family have always been part of our family. She faces her daily struggles with such strength and determination - she is inspirational. Emily and her family need as much quality time as possible together.
Very sad news 10 May 2019
Very sadly, three years after her diagnosis, Emily has left us. She battled to spend as much time as she could with her family.
