Fundraising for Parkinson's New Zealand
Nationwide
My name is Bryan Perrow, and I’m on a mission to complete all six of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. So far, I’ve proudly crossed the finish lines in Boston, Chicago, New York, and London. Next up: Berlin in September 2025, and Tokyo in March 2026.
In December 2024, at the age of 56, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease — a moment that shook me to my core. I’d always lived an active, healthy life and believed I had many more years of marathons ahead. Suddenly, the future felt uncertain. But instead of letting the diagnosis define me, I chose to keep moving — literally.
Running now holds a deeper meaning. It’s no longer just about medals or personal bests. It’s about resilience, hope, and demonstrating how exercise — especially running — can help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s and enhance quality of life.
Each marathon I complete sends a clear message: Parkinson’s doesn’t get the final say. With determination, support, and movement, we can live with purpose, strength, and dignity.
To support my mission and help others living with Parkinson’s, I’m raising funds for Parkinson’s New Zealand through their Givealittle fundraising page. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference and brings us one step closer to a cure.
I hope my story inspires others with Parkinson’s to stay active and believe in what’s still possible. Whether you’re living with the condition or supporting someone who is — let’s keep moving forward. One step, one race, one goal at a time.
