Help us raise awareness for suicide prevention in NZ.
Auckland
In New Zealand, youth suicide is a major issue that affects all parts of the community. It is scary to hear that we have one of the highest rates of youth suicide in the developed world.
In May last year we lost our beautiful friend, son, grandson and nephew - Dylan to suicide. His passing affected us all, and has left us heartbroken. The pain of losing a loved one, especially to suicide is something nobody should ever have to experience.
As Dylan's friends and family, we have decided to run this years Auckland Half-Marathon in his memory and raise money for CASPER (Community Action on Suicide Prevention, Education and Research), a really awesome charity that supports bereaved families and friends who have been affected by suicide, and also provides the opportunity for people to become involved in suicide prevention. All fundraising proceeds will be donated to CASPER in the hope that we can raise awareness about suicide prevention.
Anyone is welcome to run with us in support of this wonderful charity, and in memory of Dylan.
