Seals to Eels 245 kilometer Scooter ride - fundraiser for Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter

Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter is a vital service for Golden Bay and other remote areas. Collingwood is about a 3.5 hour ambulance ride from Nelson Hospital. My Father was a frequent flyer a few years ago, and two years ago my Husband had a serious accident at home. In both incidences we were very grateful for both our local ambulance service and the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter.
The rescue helicopter service is only 50% government funded, meaning they rely on the community to help fund this life-saving service. This is why I will be taking part in the Seals to Eels Scooter ride on 15 March 2025.
Starting at the Tahunanui Playground Carpark, we will be riding our 50cc Motor Scooters an estimated distance of 245 kilometres all the way over to Lake Rotoiti and back as a fundraiser for the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter.
Participating in
Seals to Eels on Scooter Wheels is a hard-case event with all proceeds going to the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter service!
