Seeking sausages-Running for Recovery

Auckland

We will do the work for you. For every dollar that gets donated we will work to turn that into two dollars of profit.

I have secured 3 dates in August/September to undertake Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings in Grey Lynn. By “purchasing” just 5 sausage for $5 we can turn your $5 donation into $10 for the cause. You don’t even have to eat any of the sausages!

Speed Freaks was set up in 2020 to encourage those in recovery from addiction or mental distress to connect and recover via the medium of running.

In October 2022 Speed Freaks runners and their coaches from Auckland aim to take part in the Christchurch based Takahe to Akoroa relay.

This special race has been part of the Speed Freaks journey over the past 2 years with Christchurch based Speed Freaks sharing their mahi and the impact that running and the running community have in supporting recovery from addiction and growing wellbeing.

This year we want to share this experience with more participants. We need you help to make this possible.

As a coach for the Speed Freaks over the last 6 months I have witnessed first hand the magic of this initiative. A run with Speed Freaks never fails to fill my heart. Please consider helping us set up with the sausagey essentials to help make this happen!
