Shave for summer to ensure a bright future

Shave for a bright summer. The very short story of a man who beat cancer and wants to give back.

Tauranga, Bay Of Plenty

Hey beautiful people,

Those who know me will know I went through the battle of cancer and chemo 6 years ago. I have been growing my hair since in the hopes that one day I could raise some funds for a worthy charity. Having battled both cancer and mental health issues I believe with good coaching to develop a strong mind you can take on anything that life throws at you or someone close to you.

I am going to shave off my long locks along with anyone else willing to partake at Crossfit Thirty One Ten on the 29th November and donate the hair to a wig charity.

To those who would like to attend the day there will be a fun (for all ages) morning and bbq at the gym.

Please only donate what you can. I know times are tough for a lot of people at the moment.

Much love,

Carl Prebensen

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
