Please help me fundraise for Hospice by sponsoring me to shave my hair
Wellington
On July 5th I will shave my head in solidarity with anyone who has lost their hair due to chemotherapy.
I strongly encourage all my friends and whānau to get behind this cause by either donating, joining in on the shave (mustaches even)
Whatever you can give is hugely appreciated.
The money being raised will go to Harbor Hospice as it is an organization having helped my own family and is very close to my heart.
A bit about Harbor Hospice:
Their mission is to empower a community where people live well, grieve with hope and die with dignity. They provide lots of different things:
Holistic Care: wrap-around care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses and support for their families, ensuring everything is free of charge this includes emotional support, spiritual care, and whānau support, helping families navigate the emotional and practical challenges of end-of-life care.
Crisis in Palliative Care: The demand for hospice care is increasing, and funding shortages are impacting the quality of care provided.
This highlight the importance of hospice care in New Zealand and the ongoing efforts to ensure that people with life-limiting illnesses receive the compassionate and comprehensive support they need.
