Support for Gender Diverse Rangatahi in Wellington
Support young gender diverse people and enable them to legally change their identification documents to reflect their true selves.

I am a nurse working at Evolve Wellington Youth Service and am doing a head shave for health to support transgender, gender diverse and intersex young people/rangatahi with updating their legal documents to reflect their gender identity.
Evolve Wellington Youth Service provides free and accessible wraparound support and healthcare for young Wellingtonians. Naming New Zealand is an organisation to help transgender, gender diverse and intersex youth with updating their identity documents to correctly reflect their sex and gender.
The cost of changes to birth certificates, drivers licenses, passports and other forms of identification can be in excess of of $360. Identity and sense of self are essential to well-being. Everyone should be able to express who they are, and cost should not be a barrier to freedom of expression of gender identity.
Please support this mighty cause with a (generous) donation, as this is not an easy thing for me to do but that is how strongly I feel about this cause.

The fundraiser will stay open for a wee while, but the goal was reached - so my hair was shaved!
