Shaving my hair off to raise money for Trinity Carroll-Holroyd with Brain Cancer.
Waikato
11 year old Trinity Carroll-Holroyd was diagnosed with Brain Cancer in late 2015. Since she was diagnosed she has had emergency life saving surgery, intensive radiotherapy, intensive chemotherapy, and become neutroplenic (without an immune system), needing urgent blood transfusions and platelets. Because her medical treatment is so aggressive, she was given a 10% chance of ever having children and so has chosen to have her ovaries and eggs removed and stored for the future. Trinity must travel frequently from Waipu to Starship Hospital in Auckland for these treatments with her Mum Rachel, and is one of 4 children. As you can imagine, life is anything but normal for Trinity and her family. Emotions, and finances have been stretched to the limits, and Trinity has plenty more to go yet. Please help me to help Trinity, and her family as they support her along this scary journey. I will be shaving my hair off in return for your generosity. Any amount you can spare is gratefully appreciated.
Trinity Carroll-Holroyd is my young cousin, and was born 1 month and 1 day after my daughter Stara. Her mother Rachel was there when Stara was born into this world, and in a world of crazy odds, it could have easily been my daughter. I could have just as easily been in Rachel's shoes. I cant even imagine watching my daughter go through the things that Trinity has. As a mum of 4 (and having another on the way) I have decided that while I can't change the reality of Trinity's situation, that the least I can do is sacrifice some hair to raise funds, to eliminate the stress of money at least. All money raised here will go directly to 'Trinity's Journey of Bravery' Givealittle account.
