Fundraising for Canteen and donating hair for a wig

Hamilton, Waikato

I once met and worked with an amazing young man when i was 16-21yrs old.

His name was Te Waiora he was knocked off his scooter one night coming to work. He broke his legs in multiple places and then had to learn how to walk again. This blew my mind!! He was so inspiring and was never negative about the experience.

Then awhile later after he had overcome this challenge he found out he had leukemia, while he was battling his own challenge he decided to support others through the charity Canteen.

Te Wai is someone i think of often and someone who continued to support others even when he had his own struggles.

I ask that you continue to help me support others as Te Wai would have done if his time didn’t run out here on earth.

I specifically grow my hair to cut it off to raise money for Canteen and to donate my hair to make wigs for people who lose their hair while going through treatment.

We smashed it!!!  7 May 2023

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I am so grateful to each and everyone of you for helping raise this money.

I know to some of you shaving your hair might seem crazy but to some it’s just part of the challenge they face.

Te Waiora would be so grateful to you all as you have helped to keep his generous spirit alive and in turn helped people who are going through a similar journey to him.

Once again thank you so much and see you all again on here in 4 years to do it all again.
