Fundraising for Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter
Waikato
Kia Ora
A few years back I was in the deep dark hole after a surgery gone wrong. I lost a huge part of my indentify through no longer being able to enjoy the activities that made up who Stacey McVeigh is. I attempted to take my own life and was saved by some amazing medical professionals and the love of my own whanau. Westpac rescue helicopter helped transport me to the ICU Waikato hospital where I made my recovery. It's been a few years since then and arriving to where I am now has taken a lot of hard mahi and also getting the support I needed.
I planned and executed the Bibbulmun track. Taking me 54 days. I lost 4 toenails, a lot of weight, gained a few blisters, but have a memory of a life time. I'm still continuing to fundraise and will. My next misson is to walk Te Araroa in a few years time, which is 3,200 km. So watch this space
