Our McGlashan Challenge is a ski crawl of all four of the Central Otago ski mountains, travelling only on bike, chairlift and skis.
Otago
For our McGlashan Challenge, we are setting out to complete a three-day, 190km, challenge where we will ski down each four Central Otago ski mountains while biking up, down and between each one. On the 25th of August, our challenge will commence when we ski down Remarkables Ski Field. We then travel by bike, down the Mountain, across Queenstown and then up Coronet Peak for our next ski, finally finishing in Arrowtown for the night. The next day contains a bike over the daunting Crown Range to our next ski at Cardrona, then travelling to Wanaka for the night. We finish our challenge by travelling out to Treble Cone, biking up, skiing down and then biking into Wanaka's lakefront.
The fundraising from our charity will be going to Alzheimer's Otago, a charity of personal significance to us, and the Starship Foundation who do incredible work for sick children.
My grandfather has Alzheimer's and we would like to fundraise for those like him. The Starship Foundation does incredible work for young sick children who need medical help.
