In September last year my father committed suicide. As with most cases, this was completely unexpected; he seemed like a happy guy with a great job, friends and family. I want to raise money for Skylight who help families though grief and trauma, in particular young people.

Skylight is a organisation that helps families and individuals like yourself all the time move forward through difficult times of change, trauma, loss and grief. They provide support, training, counselling for those who need help, and also have a resource centre offering ideas and resources of how to help people in different situations.

10 days to go! 29 May 2013

Just counted all the money raised in the bar The Running Horses in the last two weeks, 290pounds ($529 NZ$!!). Added on to my total from all the lovely people who have donated and have reached $1799 (I might add a cheeky dollar in, $1800 sounds far more impressive). 10 days to go and I reckon we can hit $2000, if not more :). Every cent going to the most amazing cause out to help families through tough times. Off for my last big run soon, 32km up and down some nasty hills, nothing like the 1500ft climb I have to face in Scotland, but will be well worth it! Thanks to everyone xo
