I'm doing the SleepOutForSyria with Tearfund. A one-night event sleeping outside to stand in solidarity with my Syrian brothers and sisters
Auckland
We are joining with individuals and churches across the country to ‘Sleep Out for Syria’ by sleeping outside churches and homes to raise awareness of the millions of refugees who have fled their homes, and to stand in solidarity with Tearfund’s partner, the Lebanese Baptist Society, who are helping refugee families on the border of Lebanon and Syria.
It symbolises the church as a place of hope where people in need can turn to. Funds raised go to Tearfund’s Syrian Refugee Appeal, which in turn goes to the Lebanese Baptist Society to help them continue to help families in need
I am a Kiwi who wants to do everything I can to help the innocent victims of the conflict in Syria. I am standing with Tearfund to support their work with refugees.
#SleepOutForSyria is a one-night event to raise funds and awareness about the plight of Syrian refugees.
