Raising money for Suicide awareness!

Wellington

So I've decided to get back into the ring again and get punched in the face to raise money for Charity. This time its a little closer to home with raising money for awareness around Suicide. The journey is an intense 14 week training program run out of Martin Degan's gym and will end at the fight night on May 5th 2018.

I have been personally effected by Suicide having worked in a prison for 15 years, and more recently loosing a family member in 2016.

I enjoy the feeling of doing something that's a little bigger than myself.

The IT Heavy Hitters events of the last 4 years have raised over $209,000 for The Key to Life Charitable Trust and we are currently working with the team to pull this together again. The Key to Life Charitable Trust is a registered charitable trust aiming to affect positive social change surrounding suicide prevention, suicide awareness and mental health in New Zealand. It's a great cause and we look forward to making a difference to those affected by these issues.
