Cycling the length of New Zealand, giving Epilepsy New Zealand a hand along the way.
Morningside, Auckland
Cycling the length of New Zealand (the "Tour Aotearoa": 3000km!) might not be everyone's idea of fun, but I certainly hope it will be an experience of a lifetime! At the same time, there's a chance to do some good along the way. There's no registration fee to do the Tour Aotearoa brevet; instead you provide evidence of a $100 charitable donation. I chose Epilepsy New Zealand, and I invite you contribute to the same.
There are two (excellent!) people in my family who live with epilepsy; it affects 1%-2% of the population in New Zealand. Epilepsy is not new, and it seems to me that after all this time we should know more about how to support and treat it. That's where Epilepsy New Zealand comes in. If you can contribute, please do - I'm sure every donation to Epilepsy New Zealand will be most gratefully received.
I don't know who you are, "Guest Donor" but thank you! I was really hoping to reach the $1 per km mark for Epilepsy NZ and you have got it there - arohanui!
Thanks Caza! So chuffed you got into the spirit of the whole thing - thanks for all your instagram comments along the way!
