Loud Shirt Day is a good excuse to have a bit of fun and at the same time raise funds for a great children's cause!!!

Canterbury

Loud Shirt Day is the annual appeal of The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Paediatric Programme, two charities dedicated to enabling deaf children with cochlear implant or hearing aids to listen and speak like their hearing peers. Neither charity charges deaf children or their families for their services. The Hearing House is based in Auckland and provides services to families living north of Turangi, and the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme is based in Christchurch and provides services to families in the rest of the country. Loud Shirt Day donations go to the region in which they were raised.

Nigel Paterson's involvement (page creator)

As a Spark staff member and Spark Foundation Ambassador I'm encouraging other sites around the country to get involved and do what they can. I also challenge anyone out there who wants to be involved to set up their own work or personal challenge. I will be wearing a loud shirt on the 23rd September and running different fundraising ideas on the day in order to raise as much as possible. So come people let's get involved!!
