DC Rescue Dogs needs your help to help more homeless dogs like Teddie.

DC Rescue Dogs is a registered charity and we rely solely on public donations. We take in dogs in need from pounds and unsuitable homes throughout the North Island. We care for them, do all the necessary work that all dogs deserve (desex, vaccinate, council register, microchip, registration with NZCAR, flea/worm), then place them into well-vetted forever homes.

Dog rescue is expensive and our adoption donations do not cover anywhere near the costs that go into each dog. We rely heavily on public donations to cover food, vet bills, blankets, crates and anything else we may need!

With vet bills in the thousands each month we are very proactive with fundraising to help cover some of these costs. Even though we ask for an adoption donation we don't recover the cost each dog brings with it. We have seen it all, mange, emaciated, broken bones, the list goes on and the vet bills mount up! The idea of Sponsor a Dog came about to help cover some of these costs. For each adult dog that comes into care a give a little page will be made to cover the costs of vaccinations, desexing, microchip etc. Adult dogs deserve a chance to, and by donating you help us help those in need. Donations to the shelter’s vet rescue account are greatly appreciated and are essential for Cherie and her team to continue helping those in need. We also accept donations of quality second hand clothing for the shelter to sell at car boot sales for fundraising.

Teddie is up for adoption. Please message the DC Rescue Dogs Facebook page if you can offer Teddie a loving home.
