St John South Island - Pay for a Day in May

$165 of $57,000 goal
Given by 4 generous donors in 10 weeks

“Pay for a Day in May,” is a way for businesses to join their community in supporting St John’s lifesaving services.

Canterbury

Every April, St John asks Kiwis to show their hearts of gold and support much needed ambulance services (and many other important programs) across New Zealand. Last April, Kiwis really stepped up, raising a whopping $2.2 million dollars. Schools, preschools, and businesses within the South Island showed us how much Kiwis care and got on board.

Even with all of this amazing support, St John still has a funding shortfall of $57,000 per day in the South Island. And that’s where we’re hoping you can help.

“Pay for a Day in May,” as part of St John’s Heart of Gold Annual Appeal, is a way for businesses like yours to join the local community in supporting St John’s lifesaving services. The idea is simple. From April 1st – 30th, we are asking you to join forces with businesses across the region to help us fill that $57,000 gap and sponsor a day in May.

Did you know in 2017 St John attended an average of 295 emergency incidents across the South Island every day? We need your help to make sure help is always there, especially when it's needed most.
