Auckland
Everyone goes through ups and downs in life – that’s a completely normal part of being human. This is especially true in 2020.
How we interact with each other, go about our lives, our work and hobbies has significantly changed, with it coming new stresses and uncertainties.
And while the global pandemic may be contributing to our challenges, we cannot forget that mental health challenges have been part of our society forever.
One in 6 New Zealand adults experience diagnosed mental health challenges at some point in their lives - many more go unchecked. This can be a hard fact for most of us to face, as we would like to think we have the resilience to work through any problem that comes our way. This is not something we need to be ashamed of or scared to share with people who care for us.
This year, the team at Fisher & Paykel Appliances are continuing the conversation around mental health and building awareness across our global business. Just starting the conversation can make a big impact on someone’s life. Mental wellbeing plays a significant role in the workplace – both in terms of our individual resilience and how we relate to and work with other people.
Our goal is to raise as much as possible to contribute to the remarkable work New Zealand's Mental Health Foundation does every day to assist those who need support through so many mental health challenges. Their efforts continue to bring us closer to being a society free from discrimination and stigma, where all people enjoy positive mental health & wellbeing.
Please help us support this amazing local charity. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support New Zealanders to find balance and live more fulfilling, happier lives.
Kia kaha.
After a hard 2020 - we understand more than ever the importance of Mental Health Awareness.
