Stepping Up for Ovarian Cancer this September

I am joining with my friend, Jane, in raising money for research to provide better outcomes for those diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Through walking alongside Jane on her own ovarian cancer journey in the last few years, I've come to see how little funding and research there is particularly for the rarer types of ovarian cancer. The huge amount of work that Jane has put in to start and run the Cure Our Ovarian Cancer charity while also battling her own health challenges is an inspiration. Together, we plan to walk the 10km event at the Dunedin Marathon on September 12th, 2021(update: As the marathon has been postponed until November, I will be doing a local 10km walk instead for my Step Up September challenge). All funds raised will go to Cure Our Ovarian Cancer's support of much needed ovarian cancer research, advocacy and education to create a more hopeful future for those women running the marathon of ovarian cancer health challenges.
