Hospice West Auckland provides free specialist palliative care and support to people facing terminal illness, both at Hospice House and at home. HWA rely on fundraising for a significant proportion of their funding, and I want to show appreciation for the incredible support and service they provided to my family.

Thank you 12 October 2014
First of all, thank you to everyone who has donated to a great cause, in memory of a great man. The race went well and I wanted to run 4:30min/km and ended up with 4:29min/km, with an official time of 1:35.23. I only had 2 moments when I was really struggling, at 13km and 20km (going up a steep section of a bridge), but the tough times are what you train for and expect. For those interested in stats, the details uploaded from my Garmin watch are here: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/610490603 Official result is here: http://www.multisportaustralia.com.au/Home/IndividualResult?clientId=1&raceId=1115&eventId=2&athleteId=41875 The total sits at $1450 which is fantastic, thank you so much to all you generous people - these days you are getting requests from different charities every day, so it means a lot. The page stays open for a few more weeks, so it's not too late to share with anyone who might be interested in this cause. Steve
