Suicide Prevention Fundraiser

In 2020, in Aotearoa 119 young people died by suicide and it is estimated another 3,100 tried to take their own lives.

Wellington

I lost my best friend to suicide a few years ago. It's a cold, helpless situation, there is nothing you can do..... or is there? I wanted to get involved with the IT Heavy Hitters fundraiser then, but knee injuries were holding me back.

In recent years two work colleagues succumbed to mental illness and we tragically lost them to suicide. When Matt McAfee passed last year it fired me back up and here I am, knees heeled, training my butt off to (hopefully) provide some entertainment and raise some money for Mike King's "I am Hope" and "The Key to Life Charitable Trust".

I wish this was where my story ended....

But, just a couple of weeks ago, a young lad I've known for years tragically took his own life at just 13 years old.

These are the people I'm fighting for, these are the people that Mike King is fighting to save with School, Corporate and Public talks. So if you can spare a few dollars, be a champion and support this cause, it will be much appreciated.

Life is fragile, hug your kids, avoid negativity and tell them there is always someone to talk too.

I have joined the ITHeavyHitters Red Team to jump into the Boxing Ring and (hopefully) provide some entertainment and raise some money for the The Key to Life Charitable Trust.
