Raising money for teenage suicide prevention through I am Hope, to remember our son, brother, nephew and cousin, Daniel Askew.
Auckland
As some of you may be aware we lost my nephew Daniel who passed away from suicide just over 3 years ago. He was a great young man with so much going for him. He was 17. My sister and brother in law Michelle and Dean and their daughter Milly, battle everyday with their loss. We miss him so much in our wider family.
As you also may know I am currently riding my bike from Bluff to the Northcote Tavern. The last couple of weeks has been an amazing journey, helping both my physical and mental fitness! As i ride up the North Island I would like to honour Daniel and support Dean and Michelle by raising some money for ' I am Hope'. This organisation does great work in the teenage suicide prevention space. All money raised will go to I am Hope. So if you would like to make a donation, our family would so appreciate it. Love Pete
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!🙏🚴❤️ 13 November 2023
Made it to the Tav, 2540kms, 28 days, an incredible time spent on my bike in our beautiful country.
Our family has been humbled by your response to this and your generosity. Over $15k is amazing, thank you. With youth counseling sessions $150 each, you have created over 100 chances to make a difference to a young person who is really struggling. Thank you so much.
