Swapping pints for the pavement and raising funds for Ranui House in Christchurch

$4,000 of $1,500 goal

Charity page to allow donations to support Damien, Colm and Sam in running the Revel to Run 12-hour relay, in support of Ranui House.

Christchurch, Canterbury

What do you get when you mix three lads of varying degrees of fitness (and weight) and get them to run for 12 hours? Hopefully a decent amount of money raised for charity and not another Give A Little Page for them!

On 20 June 2026, two Irishmen (Damien + Colm) and a Kiwi (Sam) are running in the Hibbart Park Revel to Run 12-hour relay. Setting themselves an ambitious 100km target over the day, time will tell whether they can put down the fork and pick up their running shoes, swapping the comfort of the High Stool for the cold Winter pavements.

In honour of Sam's late mother, the lads have chosen to support Ranui House in Christchurch, as a place that gave support to the Ruck Family many years ago. Ranui House continues to be an important place of respite in Canterbury, for families when life sends a few lemons.

So, whether you want to come and support on the day, get into your pockets and throw a few shillings Ranui's way, or help carry Colm or Sam off the race track (Damo will probably be OK), it is up to you!

Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines, because the Bailies Battlers are taking on Hibbart Park!

Wahooooo! We made it to $4k and managed to run 110km!  1 July 2026

Damo, Colm and Sam want to give everyone a massive thanks for supporting us in the run.

We did you all by proud by smashing our 100km target and running 110km! Probably 10kgs lost between us too!

A massive $4k was raised for a great Canterbury charity that does so much important work in Christchurch and genuinely supports people. The benefit of giving cannot be underestimated, and you all made that possible.

Across New Zealand and Ireland, we have a great community, so a big bloody thank you to everyone!

And who knows? Perhaps the boys will turn up next year and try to run 111km?

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
