I'm challenging myself in the Taupō 70.3 (Half Ironman) to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of New Zealand.
Auckland
1 NZ in every 1000 has Multiple Sclerosis.
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of New Zealand is a fantastic non-profit organisation meeting the needs of people with Multiple Sclerosis. They receive little Government funding but works hard to ensure those affected with MS receive the support, guidance and information that they need to live well with MS.
On Saturday 10th December 2022, I'll be challenging myself to complete the Taupō 70.3 in under 6 hours to raise funds for MSNZ. This will require me to swim 1.9km, bike 90km and run 21.1km.
Why am I doing this? Good question.
Every little bit of funding helps and for me it's a small choice to push myself to the edge of exhaustion however for those living with MS, they have to deal with this level of fatigue each day.
As I continue the training and hopefully hit the finish line in Dec, I'll be spurred on by New Zealanders' impacted by MS including my mum... who will hopefully be there with a drink on the finish line!
Any donations gratefully received and follow along for further updates!
