Dunedin, Otago

Hospice care is one of the most important and often overlooked services in our community. When someone is facing the end of their life, the Otago Community Hospice is there: offering comfort, dignity, and compassionate support not just for patients, but for their families too.

My BNI group and my team at Harcourts continually support Hospice in anyway we can and this is something I want to do to support that work. So I’m taking on an ice bath challenge, because a little discomfort on my part is nothing compared to what hospice patients and their loved ones go through every day.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward free palliative care for people in our region who need it most. No one should have to face the end of life without proper support, and your donation helps make sure they don’t.

Whether you give $5 or $50, it means the world. Thank you for being part of this.

BNI Otago Ice Bath Challenge 2026

This is BNI Octagon's fourth annual Ice Bath Challenge fundraiser, taking the plunge for Otago Community Hospice.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
