    Kia ora wonderful supporters,

    Thank you so much for donating and sharing over the past two weeks. With your help we are now able to begin development of our workshops, resources and materials to support people to talk about climate change with their children, their friends, whānau and beyond.

    To quote one of our favourite climate scientists and brilliant communicator, Katharine Hayhoe - "The most important thing you can do to fight climate change is to talk about it."

    Because talking about our shared problems is powerful and leads to the change we need.

  • Whoop! Base target goal reached! New goal set!

    Thank you beautiful humans! You are amazing!

    We have been blown away by the incredible outpouring of support and response to our crowdfunding campaign especially from people who have recently experienced flooding around the motu. You have been sharing your stories with us and that you are ready to learn more about how to talk with your kids, your whānau, your friends and beyond while still holding the relationship.

    Through our survey, we learned that outside of workshops, you would like to learn more through podcasts and personal stories. With your help we will be able to produce and release our interviews on How To Talk to Your Kids About Climate Change (Harriet Shugarman) and Parenting in a Changing Climate (Elizabeth Bechard) - then we plan to deep dive into hearing the personal stories of what climate change means in our local communities, what impacts they will have on our communities that have contributed the least. These will complement our Workshops both in person and online.

    We reached out base goal of $5000 with your support and with 3 days to go we still have the opportunity to be match funded up to $10k through the generosity of Foundation North! So again, please feel free to share with your own friends and family.

    Talking about our shared problems is powerful and the more people talking about climate change means more inclusive solutions that work for everyone.

    Here is a bouquet just for you - thank you! We have been overwhelmed by such wonderful messages of support from people all around the motu! We are hearing it's like a pressure valve being released - people are concerned about climate change but simply do not know what to do or who to talk to about it. And we understand that - it's pretty loud out there and the here and now is already a challenging balancing act.

    We wanted to share some snippets from our upcoming podcast interviews with Harriet Shugarman, author of How To Talk With Your Kids About Climate Change and Elizabeth Bechard, author of Parenting in a Changing Climate. Thanks to your support we will be able to produce and publish these and many more wonderful conversations. We are starting to share these on Instagram but here is a sneak peek of one we haven't shared yet. Normalising talking about climate change which includes celebrating those wins!
